The Plant is a diverse 17-acre eco-industrial park on the east side of Pittsboro. It is home to like-minded, local economy-focused small businesses. The Plant has turned local commerce into an experience with an art gallery, many outdoor spaces for gatherings and events, spirits, ciders, meads, beers, a coffee roaster, walking trails, axe throwing, and farm-to-fork eateries.
The property is the home of the Chatham Beverage District and, as such, home to Fair Game Beverage Company, Chatham Cider Works, bmc brewing, and Starrlight Mead. Visit Kingston 99 Kitchen for an authentic Caribbean dining experience or JDub’s PoBoys for a taste of New Orleans. Guests are welcome to grab a drink or a cup of Vortex Roasters coffee at Metal Brixx Cafe and explore Smelt Art Gallery, the Art Walk, and the Tree Museum Trail at their own pace. Activities include Chatham Axes, Carolina Hemp Tours, Pittsboro Electric Bikes for rent or sale, a Petanque court, a playground, birding, and weekly tours every Sun at 1pm. Shop Hempsmith Clothing Company, Rachel’s Native Plants, The Den, Oak City Hemp, and Essence 4 You Candles.
