Join The Plant for a Sustainable Spirits and Plant Swap on Thu, May 7, 5:30pm-7:30pm in celebration of International Composting Week! Sustainable Spirits are rotating events throughout the state and are organized by the North Carolina Composting Council. These casual networking events that bring together others who are passionate about sustainability, composting, healthy soils, and climate resilience. Those who attend this one can enter a raffle to win a FREE backyard compost bin and kitchen collector, courtesy of Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling. Attendees can also participate in a plant swap, with some donated plants from the Plant’s own Rachel’s Native Plants nursery. Free appetizers will also be available, due to the support of McGill Environmental Systems. Those interested in attending this free event are encouraged to RSVP here. 

Sip and shop the Chatham Beverage District, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail, with local beers from bmc brewing, wines and ciders from Starrlight, spirits from Fair Game, and sake from Koshu. Local dining available at Kingston 99 Kitchen and Ta Contento.

Most events are rain or shine; if they have to cancel, they will do so as far in advance as possible. Free parking is available onsite. Leashed, well-behaved pets are allowed outside; pet policies may vary by individual business. The Plant is accessible to guests and will do its best to accommodate any additional requests.
