Join GreenWood Wrights’Fest for their annual Kick Back and Carve event, hosted on Fri, Apr 24-Sun, Apr 26, 2026, at The Plant. This event is a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with experienced and new carvers alike. New carvers are also encouraged to attend and can be connected with an experienced carver for guidance. GreenWood Wrights’Fest, to be held later this year, will offer more formal and diverse workshops and demonstrations. Learning to use hatchets and other tools with greenwood is one facet of hand-tool woodworking that fosters a deeper connection to the forest and the local community.

Along the way, sip and shop the Chatham Beverage District, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail, with local beers from bmc brewing, wines and ciders from Starrlight, spirits from Fair Game, and sake from Koshu. Local dining available at Kingston 99 Kitchen and Ta Contento.
