Celebrate the Day of the Turkeys at the Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge, a special open house highlighting the sanctuary’s rescued turkey residents. Visitors can spend extra time with the turkeys through dedicated viewing areas, enjoy turkey-themed activities such as coloring, portraiture, and Turkey Bingo, and learn more about these social and curious birds. Guests may also participate in one-time turkey sponsorship opportunities and watch the turkeys receive special treats. In addition to the featured activities, attendees can tour the refuge grounds, meet other rescued farm animals, and enjoy food from local vendors Oh My Cod and Xochitla. Tours begin at 11 a.m., and the refuge closes to visitors at 2 p.m. Sliding-scale admission ranges from $5 to $40 per person, with proceeds supporting the lifelong care of rescued farm animals.
