Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge


The Refuge is a non-profit organization that works to rescue farm animals in need, educate people about the cruelties of factory farms, and promote veganism by offering knowledge, support, and community to people interested in living cruelty-free lifestyles.

The Refuge is home to more than 100 residents including sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese. Visit for a tour or event and explore the animal-centered architecture, memorial garden, gift shop, and educational pavilion, taking in the farm atmosphere and serenity of nature.


All visitors are required to wear a mask while on the premises, including children. Tours are outdoors. All visitors are requested to maintain at least six feet of distance from other visitors who are not in their party. Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge is limiting the number of visitors in accordance with current regulations for outdoor events. Hand sanitizer is available and guests will have access to use on-site restrooms.
