Wine Class – Dry by Design: The New North Carolina
You’re invited to join Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell for a Wine Class – Dry by Design: The New North Carolina on Thu, May 14, 6pm-7pm on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. North Carolina wine has long been defined by sweetness—but a new generation of producers is rewriting that narrative. Wine Director Troy Revell, who is also an annual wine judge for the state, will lead you through the state’s evolving identity, showcasing wines crafted with precision, restraint, and intent. Featuring standout producers such as Dynamis, Souther Williams, and Marked Tree, this class highlights what happens when site, climate, and thoughtful winemaking converge on balance rather than residual sugar. Expect focused, food-friendly wines that emphasize texture, acidity, and structure—proof that North Carolina belongs in the conversation for serious dry wines.
A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included, and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. This $75 all-inclusive wine class is non-refundable. If your plans have changed, please feel free to send a lucky friend in your place! Just send Fearrington an email with their name or have them bring your confirmation email.
