Creating Diverse Habitat for Pollinators and Other Beneficial Insects
Join Chatham County Cooperative Extension for Creating Diverse Habitat for Pollinators and Other Beneficial Insects on Wed, Jan 28, 2pm-5pm at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center (CCACC). This in-person workshop will discuss how to create habitats for pollinators and other beneficial insects. The target audience is farmers and gardeners.
NC State University, in collaboration with N.C. Cooperative Extension and the NC Botanical Garden were awarded a two-year grant from the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program to study pollinator and beneficial insect habitat on farms. The team will present a workshop to share results from this project. Drawing on lessons learned over the three years, the team developed practical guidance and recommendations for getting started, which will be shared during this workshop.
Seating is limited for this free event, so registration is required. This event takes place indoors in Halls A, B, and C. The space is ADA-compliant. Free parking is available on-site. No pets allowed. See more events at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center.
