Join Fearrington Village for Wine Class – The Hills of Austria on Thu, Aug 21, 6pm-7pm. The hills are alive with the sound of Austrian wine! Despite boasting an ancient wine history dating back 2,000 years, Austria’s current wine scene has undergone recent changes and is finding its way forward with fresh and family-driven selections. You will explore their best-known varietal, Grüner Veltliner, while also tasting examples of Riesling, Zweigelt, and Blaufränkisch, all of which make for terrific summer drinking options. Wine Director Troy Revell will lead you through an educational presentation on the region’s fascinating history and beautiful geography.

A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included, and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant.
