Piedmont Farm Tour
The 29th Annual Piedmont Farm Tour, hosted by the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, connects guests with local farmers and farm sites across multiple counties. This year’s event takes place Sat, Apr 25 – Sun, Apr 26, 2pm-6pm. Some farms will open at 12pm for a fun way to kick off the tour. Participating Chatham County farms include:
- The Inn at Celebrity Dairy.
- Chatham Oaks Farm (Opens at 12pm, snacks available for purchase).
- Granite Springs Farm.
- Green Heal Farms (Opens at 12pm).
- Little Pond Gardens at The Plant (Opens at 12pm, snacks available for purchase).
- Little Way Farm (Open Saturday only).
Tour 30+ local, scenic, and sustainable farms in five North Carolina counties (Orange, Durham, Alamance, Person, and Chatham). Discover the delicious meat, dairy, mushrooms, fruits, and veggies produced in the Piedmont! Farm visits include pasture-raised livestock farms, baby animals, fiber demonstrations, hayrides, farm equipment on display, an award-winning cheese dairy, locally grown and fermented pickles, newly established orchards, food trucks, locally grown hops, a farm with a brewery on site, and organically grown produce farms.

The tour is self-guided. Bring a cooler to take home farm-fresh products for sale. Pets are not allowed. The tour takes place rain or shine. Travel tip: make sure to bring cash – not all farms can accept credit card payments.
COST
- Advance passes are $30 per car for ALL farms, ALL weekend.
- CFSA Members save $5 in advance.
- The registration fee is $35.
- You can just visit one farm for $10.
- Your button is your car pass – good for a full carload of people.
Please note that the tour is not wheelchair accessible. Some farms may have easier access than others, but no farms have public buildings with ADA-compliant features. It’s also hard to say definitively whether a farm will have easier access, because the status can change with the weather, and the tour is rain or shine.
