Diavolo at New Hope Disc Golf

DESCRIPTION

Diavolo at New Hope Disc Golf is a 22-hole course situated on 48 acres of nature in Cary, NC. It has been ranked #7 on UDisc’s List of the World’s Best Disc Golf Courses 2021. The park is laid out on two parcels separated by the American Tobacco Trail and features 3 unique loops: Diavolo Front Loop, Diavolo Back Loop, and Little Devil Novice Loop (planned). All of the blue and white tees are open and playable, while the red tees and the Novice loop are planned and will be implemented over time. The course makes good use of the local terrain, with a mix of open and wooded holes, as well as two water holes. Diavolo was primarily designed for intermediate to advanced players, but they will have tees for all skill levels. Please keep the course clean. Sundays are designated “pick-up-while-you-play” days to keep the course looking good.

ARTWORK

In July 2021, the Town permanently installed artwork at the Diavolo at New Hope disc golf course. The two pieces, both commissioned works by artist John Merigian, were installed near the entrance of the course and on the course’s signature hole, Hole 9. Titled “Calvin” and “Rejoice” the pieces match similar pieces also created by John Merigian and installed at the New Hope Church Trailhead, just across the street from the course.
