Our area, a growing part of the Research Triangle Region, will accommodate guests with the addition of the Hampton Inn & Suites-Pittsboro, on track to open late 2023. MOSAIC announced they will host the first business hotel in our area, a five-story property developed and managed by Malcolm Bryant Corporation.
Why does Chatham County need a Hampton Inn & Suites?
Our area currently has 226 rooms (bed & breakfast inns and hotels). A larger hotel will serve guests who need to stay together as a group and will appeal to those interested in extending their day trips. Chatham Park’s eateries, outdoor space, events, and additional amenities will serve guests in multiple lead markets for us—visiting friends and family, sporting events, venue attendees, business travelers, and more.
Why stay and who will it serve?
The hotel will attract business and leisure travelers and year-round county festival attendees and organizers requiring rooms even beyond the county and into the region. Our location within North Carolina also encourages a tremendous amount of in-state travel for regional and statewide conferences, sporting events, and weddings. The rooms will be spacious, ideal for those with families or a big wedding party, remote working (with plenty of time and things to do for leisure).
The plan for the Hampton Inn & Suites-Pittsboro is 120 rooms, seven of which will be ADA accessible (32 of these rooms are larger), and 28 studio suites with a wet bar. The hotel also will have a bar and electric vehicle charging stations, an appealing location for a meeting spot and place to begin and close the evening with flair.
The Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center is also a significant part of the hotel’s future, with conference attendees seeking a closer accommodation and amenities to ensure a smoother experience. Managing the transportation and lodging logistics of attending retreats, conferences, and meetings will be efficient and allow guests to stay nearby and enjoy all the amenities the hotel and our destination offer.
A brief background about Malcolm Bryant Corporation
Family-owned and family-operated, with a focus on people and the community, the Bryant team truly seeks to make this property authentically Hilton but distinctly Chatham County. Hampton Inn & Suites, a part of Hilton’s family of brands, will genuinely have a Chatham County sense and feel woven into a textured environment of nature and art. The hotel groundbreaking took place this year and the awards and accolades will soon follow, given the Malcolm Bryant Corporation track record. TripAdvisor announced its 2022 Travelers’ Choice Award winners mid-May, and among them, every hotel operated and managed by the Malcolm Bryant Corporation. The annual awards are based upon receiving “consistently great reviews.” Per TripAdvisor, a property recognized with this award is in the “top 10% of hotels worldwide.” All of the Malcolm Bryant Corporation managed hotels—Hampton Inn & Suites Owensboro Downtown/ Waterfront, Hampton Inn Owensboro South, and Hampton Inn Louisville Northeast—received the honor.
History Behind the Hotel
Stories are always a part of the significance of what we do and serve as anecdotes to mark a sense of place. The need for a hotel has always been strong and with the announcement of VinFast this year, our growing destination will serve as a meeting place and periodic home for many guests, for multiple reasons. VinFast, a Vietnamese car company, is making a manufacturing plant in North Carolina. They focus on electric cars, which help to fight climate change and create 7,500 jobs. A place to stay for future residents, those relocating to the area, is critical.
