Wheelhouse Music Sessions: Julie Lambert and The AlphaGal Trio
Join The Plant and Fair Game Beverage Company in Pittsboro’s new listening room for Wheelhouse Music Sessions: Julie Lambert and The AlphaGal Trio on Fri, Feb 13, 7pm-9pm. Get ready for an intimate evening of groovy jazz, vintage Brazilian, French, and more!
What would happen if a guardian of jazz guitar pomp and grandeur with space-time to kill met a lion-tamer with a multi-colored bass and a comet to chase, a percussionist who raises the temperature in the mood for sailing, and an American-born French singer-songwriter longing for her original spiraling roots? They would call it Julie Lambert and the AlphaGal Trio, and they want you to discover the result of this chemical reaction along with them at their upcoming show!
Meet your performers:
- Lead vocalist Julie Lambert enjoys interpreting and scatting around jazz standards, playing the part of the characters in each song, no matter how corny.
- Guitarist and vocalist Dave Smith enjoys playing jazz and anything he can sing harmonies on.
- Percussionist Robert Cantrell enjoys finding the intersections of Afro-Caribbean and American Pop music and exploring how each informs the other.
- Acoustic bassist Jim O’Keefe enjoys hopping from one traditional style to another, his bass, his pogo stick.
Sip and shop the Chatham Beverage District, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail, with local beers from bmc brewing, wines and ciders from Starrlight, spirits from Fair Game, and sake from Koshu. Local dining available at Kingston 99 Kitchen and Ta Contento.
