Understanding Organic Inputs & Supplies

March 25 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA) for Understanding Organic Inputs & Supplies on Wed, Mar 25, 10am-2pm. This workshop will begin with a tour and exploration of Country Farm and Home, led by owner Melinda Fitzgerald. You will discuss soil amendments, pest control products, tools, tarps/row covers/fabrics, irrigation components, and anything else you find on the shelves. This workshop will also discuss cover crops, strawberries, potatoes, alliums, sweet potatoes, and other items available at Country Farm and Home.

After a lunch break, you will travel just down the road to the Central Carolina Community College Student Organic Farm, where Farm Manager Farrell Moose will give you a tour and presentation on amending soils based on your soil test results. Lunch will not be provided. Pack a lunch or check out the spots in Pittsboro. This event is free to attend, but registration is required; please register by Sun, Mar 22, 2026.

This work is supported through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP). TOPP is a program of the USDA Organic Transition Initiative and is administered by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) National Organic Program (NOP).
