Join Friends of the Lower Haw River State Natural Area and Brian Bockhahn, Regional Education Specialist from NC State Parks, for a Trading Path Program at Bynum Mills Access on Sat, Nov 8, 10am-11:30am. Learn about historical trading paths and Native American culture. Introductory mapping activities include the past and current Tribes of North Carolina and the routes of the Trading Paths. Afterwards, you’ll hike some of the roads and paths around Bynum Mill to read the landscape. Closed-toe shoes required. This program is free and open to the general public and educators. All ages are welcome, but parents must accompany children.
