KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- All guests will be provided with a canoe, a personal flotation device (life vest), a paddle, trash bags, and disposable gloves. The recommended packing list can be found here.
- Advanced online registration is required. Trips may be cancelled if the minimum group size of 45 is not met. Please note that environmental factors may impact the planned curriculum for the day. Gratuity for guides/instructors is always appreciated.
- Beginners are welcome; a basic knowledge of how to steer your boat is strongly encouraged. This trip is not appropriate for children under 8; children under 13 must be in a canoe with an adult
- Estimating the time spent on water for river trips can be a challenging task. Numerous variables can affect the duration of a trip. A few considerations for this are water level and flow, group experience, managing a capsized canoe or kayak, and other relevant factors. Guests may be asked to assist with the shuttle. Shorter distance trips can take 3–5 hours, longer distance trips can take 4–7 hours.
- Participants during winter months must wear cold-weather paddling gear appropriate for the air and water temperatures. Frog Hollow may be able to provide cold-weather paddle clothing to those who request it.
