The NC Spring Chicken Festival is a celebration in historic downtown Siler City on the first Saturday of May, sponsored by Mountaire Farms. The seventh annual festival will feature live musical performances, mechanical and inflatable attractions, and tasty food options. Various vendors will fill the streets with arts and crafts, handmade goods, information booths, and other items for sale.

This year’s event occurs Sat, May 3, 10am-4pm.

ENTERTAINMENT

They are excited to welcome back The Embers, featuring Craig Woolard, to the main stage, who will perform live music 10am-1pm. The festival will feature various fun attractions for all patrons and guests, including the annual “Chickin’ Pickin’” hosted by Mountaire. The 2025 attractions include the Ferris Wheel, Camel Slide, Jitterbug Swing Ride, and more. Attractions will be located along East Second Street and are FREE for everyone to enjoy.

The Embers are an NC Official Ambassador for Music and are listed in the South Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame. The Embers perform beach music, heart and soul, rhythm and blues, and feel-good music.

VENDORS

Siler City Parks and Recreation is looking for various vendors for this event, such as food/food trucks, arts/crafts, small businesses, and more. Registration is open Mon, Dec 30, 2024-Fri, Apr 11, 2025. General registration for vendors.

• $50 for nonprofits (10ft x 10ft Spot).
• $80 for other businesses (10ft x 10ft Spot).
• $200 for mobile food trucks.
• $0 for Downtown businesses that are in the zone of the chicken festival. (10ft x 10ft Spot / Storefront) *Call dept. to confirm before registration.
