Shakori 40 Ultra brings the running community together to race within nature and enjoy each other. They will have a 40-mile and 40K open race for men and women, as well as a 40-mile relay for up to 10 members. The relay is age-graded. The event includes camaraderie, great music, food, camping bonfires, beer, and so much more! Camping set-up is Fri, Dec 6, 2pm-8pm, followed by an opening celebration before the race. Gates open at 5am Sun, Dec 7, and the first race begins at 7am. Live music begins at 11am. Awards are presented from 2pm-3pm. Runners must be on their last lap by 5pm. This event is hosted at the Shakori Hills Community Arts Center.
