KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- All guests will be provided with a kayak, a personal flotation device (life vest), and a paddle. The recommended packing list can be found here. Guests will need to provide their own lunches.
- Advanced online registration is required. Trips may be cancelled if the minimum group size of 4 is not met. Please note that environmental factors may impact the planned curriculum for the day. Gratuity for guides/instructors is always appreciated.
- Estimating the time spent on water for river trips can be a challenging task. Numerous variables can affect the duration of a trip. A few considerations for this are water level and flow, group experience, managing a capsized canoe or kayak, and other relevant factors. Guests may be asked to assist with the shuttle. Shorter distance trips can take 3–5 hours, longer distance trips can take 4–7 hours.
- Participants during winter months must wear cold-weather paddling gear appropriate for the air and water temperatures. Frog Hollow may be able to provide cold-weather paddle clothing to those who request it.
