Luncheon celebrating 40 years of the Fearrington House Restaurant. Celebrate The Fearrington House Cookbook, A Celebration of Food, Flowers and Herbs, authored by the late, great co-owner Jenny Fitch in 1988, just eight years after she first introduced many of these dishes at The Fearrington House Restaurant.

Guests will enjoy a buffet menu inspired by Jenny’s original recipes while dining in the gardens by the Fearrington House. This very special afternoon will include floral centerpieces created by Fearrington’s own floral design team with an eye towards Jenny’s love of native plants and flowers and a birthday cake created by our cake designer, Corinna Morris. Each guest will receive a copy of Jenny Fitch’s book with purchase of the ticket ($150).
Reception begins at 11:30am, with seating for lunch at noon. Lunch includes a copy of the cookbook, the buffet with everything listed, a glass of wine, iced tea, and lemonade (tax and gratuity included).

Valrhona Chocolate Soufflé Class
Learn to make this decadent, classic chocolate soufflé – introduced to Fearrington by Edna Lewis during her tenure as one of Fearrington’s early chefs. Pastry Chef Lydia Arnold will demonstrate this recipe, and participants will indulge in the soufflé.
