Join Friends of the Lower Haw River State Natural Area for a Fall Hike on the Lower Haw on Sat, Oct 18, 10am-11am at the Bynum Mills Access, in celebration of Great Trails State Day. Families ages 7+ are welcome to explore using all five senses with a special sensory scavenger hunt. Participants will enjoy taking in all that the season brings, even beyond the beautiful colors! Your guide will be Friends of Lower Haw board member and environmental educator Emily Behr. Arrive by 10am; the hike will begin at 10:15am. Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
