Chatham YMCA Leprechaun Dash 5K/10K
March 11 @ 8:00 am - 11:30 am
Annual Leprechaun Dash, 5K or 10K run, is a fun and challenging course. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Chatham County. Whether you’re tuning up for a spring half-marathon, Tobacco Road Marathon, or if you’re celebrating the Year of the Trail with us, participate in this event, which benefits children of Chatham County. Prizes will be awarded for age groups as well as the best leprechaun attire. No matter what, don’t forget to wear green!
Beginning at the Chatham YMCA (287 East St, Pittsboro), you’ll race through the new Chatham Park where you’ll find a fast downhill finish. From the Chatham YMCA, you can easily walk to a number of downtown Pittsboro restaurants or breweries for lunch or brunch.

More about the cause
All funds raised during the race support children in Chatham County through the YMCA Annual Campaign. Our Annual We Build People Campaign provides financial assistance for after school and summer day camps. Each year, the Chatham YMCA provides $100,000 in scholarships for child care and youth-oriented programs where we seek to build people through outdoor activities, sports, and leadership development.
