For sailors who have taken intermediate-level or junior sailing classes, Carolina Sailing Foundation now offers a Race Week Camp for children ages 12-16. Sailors will learn race start techniques, how to sail upwind and downwind efficiently, and some of the Racing Rules of Sailing. Racing is engaging, social, available from high school through college and beyond, and the best way to continuously develop sailing skills.

Camps emphasize safety, building confidence, having fun, and improving skills. All head instructors are US Sailing certified. The cost per weekly session is $445 with discounts for siblings. Camp takes place at Crosswinds Boating Center. Dropoff is between 8:45am-9am, and pickup is at 4pm. This year’s Race Week Camp takes place Mon, Aug 3-Fri, Aug 7, 9am-4pm.
