Live Music: Marilyn Walker
Join The Plant for Live Music with Marilyn Walker on Sun, Jun 14, 2pm-5pm. Marilyn Walker fuses lyrics, melody, and storytelling from her North Carolina and Floridian upbringing, along with her background as an ecologist, at the core of her work. Marilyn’s fans have been gifted in recent years with an artist who consistently explores new creative territory. A storytelling troubadour who has been described as “John Prine meets Winnie the Pooh,” and was recently selected as a Music to Life Juried Artist. Marilyn brings things to life in a way you’ve never thought about before, through well-chosen lyrics and catchy tunes. Whether audiences are laughing, crying, or thinking, they almost all include one word in their description – delightful.
