MOSAIC Back-to-School Book Drive
Get ready for a MOSAIC Back-to-School Book Drive on Fri, Aug 21, 5pm-7pm. MOSAIC at Chatham Park is partnering with the local nonprofit Chatham Reads to host a gently used children’s book drive and a live storytime with Johanna Banana. This event is FREE and open to the public, but registration is required.
Anticipate bag checks and security screenings upon entry. Food or beverages purchased outside MOSAIC, weapons, and illegal substances are prohibited. Food and beverages will be available on-site for purchase – be prepared to present your receipt to event security. Pets are welcome. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your pet and dispose of pet waste in the appropriate bins (on-site pet waste stations are located throughout the property).
This event is held outdoors on the Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons. Free event parking is available at 367 Freedom Parkway, Pittsboro, NC 27312. Guests can park in the Greek Kouzina parking lot and the adjacent parking lot. See more events hosted by MOSAIC at Chatham Park.
ACCESSIBILITY
Wheelchair-accessible event restrooms are available at the Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons, located at 457 Freedom Parkway, Pittsboro, NC 27312, behind the Tommy Edwards Stage. Both wheelchair-accessible portapotties and indoor restrooms are open to the public. MOSAIC at Chatham Park’s common spaces around campus are wheelchair accessible for public use.
Accessible parking spaces and a drop-off location are available at 120 Mosaic Blvd, Pittsboro, NC 27312, located in the 79°West and Hops & Berry Taproom parking lot. Upon arrival, present your Accessible Parking Placard to the event security personnel stationed at the entrance of the accessible parking lot and drop-off location for entry. MOSAIC also has multiple accessible parking spaces, centrally located in front of building entrances throughout the campus.
At this time, MOSAIC at Chatham Park does not offer sensory kits or quiet spaces for Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals. However, they do offer a children’s play zone located beside the Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons.
