Join The Plant for Live Music with Bluegrass Battleship on Fri, Mar 20, 6pm-8pm. The Bluegrass Battleship has had a ton of fun playing in the area for almost fifteen years now and has developed a loyal following. They feature tight, intricate harmonies and some pretty fine instrumental work. They have released one CD and played gigs in the Adirondack Mountains and locally at Full Steam, Carrboro Music Festival, Bynum Front Porch, University Place, Johnny’s Coffee House, Chapel Hill Country Club, and many, many private and church events. The band plays an eclectic assortment of acoustic music ranging from bluegrass to Beethoven. Included are Terry Baker on banjo and dobro, Scott Provan on Guitar, Catherine Grodensky on mandolin, Eileen Regan on Fiddle, Marc Alperin on bass, and vocalist Jane Provan.

Sip and shop the Chatham Beverage District, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail, with local beers from bmc brewing, wines and ciders from Starrlight, spirits from Fair Game, and sake from Koshu. Local dining available at Kingston 99 Kitchen and Ta Contento.

There is no cover for music, but tips for the musicians are encouraged. Most events are rain or shine; if they have to cancel, they will do so as far in advance as possible. Free parking is available onsite. Leashed, well-behaved pets are allowed outside; pet policies may vary by individual business.
