Winter Sowing Pollinator Flowers

January 29 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

At Winter Sowing Pollinator Flowers on Thu, Jan 29, 4pm-5pm, you’ll join the Therapeutic Horticulture Extension Master Gardeners of Chatham County to learn about the benefits of growing native and pollinator flowers and how to winter sow. Winter sowing is the art of planting seeds in terrarium-like conditions and setting them outside to let nature work its magic. Participants will sow seeds and take away information and milk-jug terrariums.

Supplies are included. This one-class session is instructed by Trish Hablutzel and Audrey Joy. Registration opens Mon, Dec 22, 2025, and closes Mon, Jan 26, 2026. This event is held indoors at the new Chatham County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources (CCPRCR) Arts Center, located at 964 East Street, Suite 105, Pittsboro, NC 23712, on the backside of the building. To access the studio, drive straight through the open gate and look for the sign that reads “Arts Center.” Visual Arts participants may park in the back lot.

There is no fee to participate, but registration is required. All ages are welcome. See more CCPRCR events.
