Two Sisters Adventure Company

DESCRIPTION

Two Sisters Adventure Company is a local, woman-owned and operated outfitter based in Durham, NC, serving the Triangle Area and beyond, including Jordan Lake State Recreation Area. Owners Natasha, Cathy, and Rainbow Teasley focus on creating welcoming adventures for all people of all skill levels, especially those who have been historically marginalized/under-resourced in outdoor spaces. Groups are intentionally kept small, with a ratio of six guests to one instructor, so participants always have access to a skilled guide. When funding allows, they provide opportunities for low-income people to join their regular programs at low to no cost.

FEATURES

Trips are available 7 days a week. Guided trips, classes, camps, and independent paddling.

ACCESSIBILITY

Everybody is different, and that makes the world a beautiful place. While they know that they can’t accommodate every single body, they will do their best. One of their top goals is to have equipment that is accessible to people of many body shapes and sizes. They are constantly working to find boats that can accommodate everybody. If you have questions, please call, email, or text them so they can make a plan to help you become comfortable with the equipment they will be using.

If they have scholarship funds available, they are available to anyone who needs them. They do not always have scholarship funds available, but they usually do have the means to offer some sort of assistance. Email them to get more information.

PET POLICY

They do not allow dogs on any of their public guided trips or classes. Dogs are welcome on independent paddling trips in canoes and on paddleboards (dogs must have trimmed nails, and you must provide your dog with a lifejack/pfd). They do not allow dogs in any of their sit-inside-style kayaks, but they do have a limited number of sit-on-top kayaks that dogs can ride on.
