Don’t miss A Taste of WEBB: Celebrating National Black Business Month on Fri, Aug 15, 5:30pm-8pm at 79° West. Founded by Frederick E. Jordan and John William Templeton, National Black Business Month honors and celebrates black-owned businesses across the nation, highlighting their significant contributions to diversity and equality in the country. The schedule of events is as follows:
- 5:30pm: Networking, wine, and refreshments with music by WEBB entrepreneur Larron Lee. Lee is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Lee Consulting Group, serving individuals and families in NC. When not working as a counselor, Larron is a musician and plays the piano, organ, and bass guitar.
- 6:30pm: Book reading by James “Monte” Montague, Author, Entrepreneur, and Founder of F7 Development Corp and F7 Blackstone Ranch. He will share an excerpt from his book Hood-Minted: How Hustle, Faith, and Fifty-Cents Built an Empire.
- 7pm: Comedy with April Storm Perry, a professional actress, stand-up comedian, writer, theatre maker, educator, and beauty and wellness influencer.
Spread the word and join in the celebration! Tickets are $15 each. Donations of $ 30 or more will be entered into a raffle, offering multiple opportunities to win prizes.
