Grief in Motion with heart2heartnc
Join Yoga Garden PBO for Grief in Motion with heart2heartnc, a unique, holistic, and body-centered workshop that explores the heartache and healing that often accompany a journey of loss and change. All forms of grief are welcome here. Cultivate specific practices that help you find ease in your body and mind. Your time includes guided movements drawn from the Kundalini yoga tradition, breathwork, stillness, and conversation, along with live music and sound. Classes are held on the following dates:
Movements are tailored to support the intense emotions associated with grief in the body and the mind. You will explore prescriptive breathwork, which helps you relax both physically and mentally, and restore the relaxation response in your central nervous system to counter the effects of hyperarousal triggered by grief. This recalibration enables you to establish new neural pathways, preventing your mind from falling into old patterns of physical and emotional pain. The session will also include periods of stillness that allow for integrating the physical and emotional work. These sessions conclude with a voluntary opportunity for those who wish to share.
