Old-Fashioned Farmers’ Days

Visit the past and marvel at how things were done at the 49th Annual Old-Fashioned Farmers’ Day Sat, Aug 31-Sun Sep 1, 9am-6pm, the longest-running event in Chatham County. The Old-Fashioned Farmers’ Day event is held every Labor Day weekend at the Silk Hope Farm Heritage Park. Admission is $5 per person and free for children ages 6 and under.
Exhibits, demonstrations, and entertainment occur throughout the day, including clogging in the show barn, antique tractor pulls, a junior dairy show, raffle drawings, and much more. Enjoy live music from SilverHawk Kickin’ Country Band, Loy Family Bluegrass Gospel, Redeemed Harmony Gospel, and New Direction Bluegrass. Don’t miss the Carolina Truck and Tractor Pull on Fri, Aug 30, 7:30pm-Sat, Sep 2, 12am. Admission is $20 per person, $5 for kids ages 6-12, and free for children ages 5 and under.
DIRECTIONS
The festival is located one hour west of Raleigh, NC, off US 64, one hour southeast of Greensboro via US 421 and US 64, 45 minutes south of Burlington, NC, via NC 87 and Lindley Mill/Silk Hope-Lindley Mill Rd, and six miles northeast of Siler City, Chatham County, NC.
