Registration Open for CCCC Spanish Immersion Program 2013

PITTSBORO – Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) is pleased to announce an innovative Spanish Immersion program, “¡Hablamos! – Let’s Talk!”, in Chatham County April 15 – 19, 2013, at the Siler City campus. The program is believed to be the first of its kind for a community college in the state of North Carolina. Conducted in Spanish, this week-long course aims to enhance the capabilities of participants who have intermediate to advanced experience with the language by immersing them in substantive yet informal instruction and enrichment sessions. Registration is now open.

CCCC’s Spanish Immersion program has been designed to give an intensive and authentic experience filled with opportunities to learn the Spanish language in a practical and applicable manner for interactions at work and in the community, both in the classroom and a few leisure experiences. The program will include an optional stay with a host family. The groundbreaking program is aimed to benefit professionals, students, and others interested in applying the Spanish language in their work and/or personal experiences.

Cost: $251.25
Format: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. daily, with sessions of one to two hours, including breaks and lunch on your own. The program may also include an evening session featuring Spanish language films.
