Born in 1930, Willmeta “Willy” Jacomet learned to bake at a young age and when she was six years old, she would help her mom bake loaves of bread to sell to locals during the Great Depression. She always tried to help those less fortunate even though she had little herself, throughout her life. Baking was a joy for Willy and she fell in love with and married an Air Force mechanic. She lived her entire adult life on a small farm.
Willy was well known for her cinnamon rolls as well as bread and other baked goods. She used fresh, local farm products for ingredients in her recipes like newly ground flour, eggs from her chickens, and milk from the farm cows. She believed in farm-to-table before our generation had a name for it!
Willy is gone now but she has left behind a rich legacy of baking and giving. At *Willy’s Cinnamon Rolls, Etc.*, we would like to think she would be proud of her namesake. There’s not anyone who doesn’t have some kind of challenge in their life, but for some people, their challenges are larger. Our goal is to help those who need an extra hand in life. When you buy our products we will honor Willy’s legacy by using fresh products in our baked goods as well as lending a helping hand to others by hiring them to work at the bakery.
