The SG Music Company is owned and operated by Shay Garriock of Pittsboro, NC. The initial opening was in 2009 as the online store “SG Fiddles,” operated at home with his wife, Leslie Staggs. But because of increased demand by local musicians, the need for a storefront and shop was apparent. The shop in downtown Pittsboro was opened for business in June 2010.
The Violin and Fiddle Shop caters mostly to the beginning and intermediate student violinist and fiddler, and the current selection of violins range in price from $120 to $3,500.
Inquire about beginning fiddle class (FIDDLE I) and other learning opportunities. Weekly Irish/Celtic open jams (call to confirm), Tue, 6pm – 7:30pm for acoustic instruments, flutes, penny whistles. Play spirited Irish/Celtic music. Email for additional information.
