Jordan Lake Educational State Forest


Jordan Lake Educational State Forest, a unique outdoor experience between the Piedmont and Coastal Plain, showcases a wide variety of pines and hardwoods found in a wetland ecosystem. The site offers outdoor education workshops, picnic facilities, ranger-conducted Classes, and the “Talking Tree” Trail. They do not charge any fees for use or programs.


Mar 1 – Oct 31: Tue – Fri, 9am – 5pm and Sat – Sun, 11am – 6pm
Nov 1Mar 1: Tue – Fri, 9am – 5pm. Closed weekends and NC State Holidays.

Managed by the North Carolina Forest Service. Admission and parking are free. Reservations are required for groups. Alcohol is prohibited. Visitors shall not be or become intoxicated while within any state park or recreation area.
