The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages B. Everett Jordan Lake Dam, Tailrace, and Visitor Assistance Center. The Jordan Lake Project conserves 46,768 acres in an expanding urban area. Of this total, 13,900 acres have been flooded to form the lake, and 32,868 acres are being managed for recreation and wildlife management.
The tailrace and Visitor Assistance Center offer parking, including ADA-accessible parking spots, hiking trails, picnicking spots, and restrooms. The tailrace has a playground and fishing piers. The Visitor Assistance Center includes a classroom/meeting space, interpretive displays in the lobby, and showers. Walking and cycling are permitted on the dam.
