Introduction to Rigid Heddle Weaving
In this class you will learn the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. We will start by warping the loom using the direct warping method. After the loom is warped, you will begin weaving on and we will teach you shuttle usage, tension, advancing the warp, etc. After you are confident with basic weaving skills, we will practice some techniques for adding visual interest or texture to your woven cloth.
No prior weaving experience is required. This class is designed to teach you basic skills so you can feel confident in creating your own projects. Although not project-based, the sample you create will be of a weight and size to use as a table runner. Cost $115
