Shakori 40 Ultra on Fri, Dec 4-Sat, Dec 5, 2026, at the Shakori Hills Community Arts Center brings the running community together to race in nature and enjoy each other’s company. They offer a 40-mile ultramarathon, a 40K open race for men and women, and a 40-mile age-graded team relay for up to 10 members—with age and gender factored in to determine the overall winning team. There’s also a 4-mile open race. You’ll have a blast at the Shakori 40, thanks to great camaraderie, live music, delicious food, camping, bonfires, craft beer, and so much more.

They’ll keep the energy high day and night with classic rock favorites and Woodstock-era gems—some you know by heart and others you’ll discover for the first time. They’ll also feature two live bands: one on Friday night and another on Saturday during the race, enhancing the Shakori vibe and spirit. This musical atmosphere ensures an unforgettable experience for runners and visitors alike. If you’re not running, you can purchase a non-runner ticket and enjoy the Friday night party, as well as your complimentary beverage at the Shakori Barn while taking in the sounds and scenery. If you want to eat, there will be a catered meal, and your $25 ticket includes one beer with your meal. Kids receive free entry!
