Join Pittsboro Gallery of Arts for the opening reception of their new exhibit, Break Glass in case of… POP! on Fri, Mar 10, 5pm-8pm. The works will be displayed Mar 7-Apr 2, featuring artists Sarah Fishbein and Alissa Van Atta.

Vintage ads and comics influence the contemporary pop art style artworks of Van Atta and Fishbein. Van Atta’s paintings and Fishbein’s mosaics speak to contemporary feminism, looking back at the influences of mid-century advertising and romance comic books.
