
Mystery Quilting Block of the Month

Mystery Quilting Block of the Month, hosted by Quilted Needle Fabrics, is a year-long quilting program inspired by Civil War Sampler by Barbara Brackman. Each month, participants will receive a fabric kit and instructions to create both an 8×8 inch and a 12×12 inch block while exploring the historical significance behind each design. Instructor Tim Rickman will introduce you to each block and provide tips and techniques to ensure success in construction.
This class meets every Third Wednesday. You can choose from the following time sessions:
- 11am-12pm.
- 5:30pm-6:30pm.
Reserve your spot by purchasing the Civil War Sampler book (required for participation), choosing a color pallet from “A Walk on the Prairie” fabric line, and selecting your preferred meeting time.
Each session will include:
- Introduction: Tim Rickman will present the monthly mystery block design and historical background.
- Techniques & Tips: Guidance on cutting, piecing, and assembly.
- Q&A and Group Discussion: Open floor for questions and sharing progress.
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Gain confidence in quilt block construction.
- Learn the historical context for each block design.
- Develop precision piecing and construction techniques.
- Complete a beautiful sampler quilt by year-end!
