Join Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church, Chatham Community NAACP, and The Community Remembrance Coalition – Chatham (CRC-C) for an MLK Community Celebration on Mon, Jan 19, 12:30pm-2pm. CRC-C and students from Seaforth High School are sponsoring a drive to support CORA. The Chatham County Sheriff’s Honor Guard will open and close the event. The Woods Charter Chorus will be performing during the program under the direction of Mr. Irons.

An address from keynote speaker Mr. Courtney Crowder will begin at 1pm.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY

Courtney is a leading expert in public affairs, government relations, and political strategy, bringing a wealth of experience and a track record of success. With a career spanning nearly 25 years, Courtney is known for his insightful approach and unrivaled knowledge of complex policy issues and strategic initiatives. Courtney earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and French from North Carolina Central University and his Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Duke University. He also studied at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England, where he completed the History, Politics and Society program at Exeter College.
