The first Saturday of August is International Mead Day, celebrated by mead makers and meaderies worldwide, including Chatham County’s own Starrlight Mead! For the occasion, they’ve got some fun things in store for you:

• Mead-making demo at 3pm. Join Ben Starr to see how to make a small batch of mead at home.
• Tours of the meadery at 2pm and 4pm. See how it’s done on a bigger scale.
• Samples of local NC Meads.
