Goldston Old Fashion Day
October 12 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Goldston Old Fashion Day is a one day street festival, featuring local arts, crafts, pottery, jewelry and great music. This event is sponsored by the Goldston Lions Club. Food vendors featuring funnel cakes, shaved ice, polish sausage, lemonade, kettle korn, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken on a stick, the Lions’ ice cream, and much more will be available all during the day. Also featured will be a display of classic cars and tractors, live music (throughout the day), a children’s area featuring a clown with balloon art, face painting, inflatables, sand art and pony rides. The event has been a Goldston fall tradition for 25 years and the town is 100+ years old and listed on the National Historic Register.
Join us in Goldston as we celebrate the 32nd Annual Goldston Old Fashion Day. Bring the whole family because there is something for everyone and admission is free. Crafts, pottery, jewelry, wreaths, honey, candles, soaps, jams/jellies, mums, pumpkins, apples, face painting, butterflies, variety of food, and ice cream bring a chair and sit a spell. The Food Court is in the same location, but will be serving toward Main Street. Main Street will be closed to traffic from United Fire & Safety to old BB&T Bank. There will be a covered seating area for your dining pleasure. The old bank parking lot will have Classic Cars, Trucks and who knows what might drive into town. C-Cape will also be on hand displaying their antique power equipment (tractors, engines and more). There will also be a Kid’s Zone, with inflatables, rock climbing wall, clown with balloon art and hula hoops (for young & old).
Chatham Transit will be providing shuttle service from four different parking areas around town for $1 roundtrip. Riders will be given a wrist band to ride to and from and all proceeds go directly to the Scouts. Parking lots are located at J.S. Waters School & Goldston Baptist Church. Handicap parking will be available at Goldston Automotive on Main Street.
Check in on foursquare.
