At this Drawstring Bag with Applique workshop on Sat, Feb 28, 1pm-4pm, you’ll learn about the magic of sewing machine appliqué and turn your creation into an adorable drawstring bag! Appliqué is a decorative technique in which fabric shapes are layered onto a base fabric to create designs, patterns, or images.

Sewing machines and all supplies are provided; just bring your basic machine skills and creativity! This one-class session is instructed by Bea Lee. Registration opens Mon, Jan 19, and closes Mon, Feb 23. This event is held indoors at the new Chatham County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources (CCPRCR) Arts Center, located at 964 East Street, Suite 105, Pittsboro, NC 23712, on the backside of the building. To access the studio, drive straight through the open gate and look for the sign that reads “Arts Center.” Visual Arts participants may park in the back lot.
