In Create Your Own Artisan Sterling Silver Earrings on Sun, May 18, 1pm-5pm, you’ll learn metal smithing techniques and use hand tools to design and create three pairs of unique sterling silver earrings (two from sterling silver wire and one using sterling silver sheet). Hammers, stamps, and other tools will be used to texture the surfaces and bend and shape the earrings. You will also learn how to make ear wires and jump rings.

Ages 15+ are welcome. No experience is necessary. There are five open seats for this class, and the price is $150 per person. The classroom is located in the back of the Pittsboro Gallery of Arts in downtown Pittsboro. Parking is free on the street and in the back of the building. The instructor, Pam Freese, will provide all materials, equipment, and bottled water. Registration also includes a copy of the book The Complete Metalsmith by Tim McCreight.
