Get your hands dirty at Clay Hand Building – Beginners! This is a six-week introductory class to clay hand building. Each class will be guided by an initial demonstration. Have fun with clay slabs, molds, textures, and glazing. One hour of studio time is available after each class. Registration is $150 per person and includes six hours of open studio time, glazing, and firing. Studio clay is available during class time. The Arts Center is located at 964 East Street, Pittsboro, NC 27312, on the backside of the building. To access the studio, drive straight through the open gate and look for the sign on the door that reads “Arts Center.” Registration opens Mon, Feb 10 and closes Mon, Mar 17. This event is held indoors by Chatham County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources (CCPRCR).
