Chatham County Recovery Celebration and 5K

September 28 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join Chatham Drug-Free and the Chatham County Public Health Department for the 5th Annual Chatham County Recovery Celebration and 5K Sat, Sep 28, 10am-3pm at Chatham Middle School (2025 South Second Avenue Extension, Siler City, NC 27344). The event will mark the 35th anniversary of National Recovery Month with the theme “Recovery is for Everyone” and will bring together local substance use treatment and health providers, as well as community-based resources.

Participants will celebrate the thousands of individuals in our community who are proudly living in recovery and send a message of hope and encouragement to everyone on their recovery journey. This is also a time for those who have lost loved ones to show love for those who are gone. The event includes testimonials, music from local musicians, games, food, and giveaways to celebrate those in recovery! The 5K starts at 10am and the Fun Run begins at 11am. Enjoy live music from Jordan Pickett from 11am-1pm and Cecile Jordan from 1pm-3pm. The event will also feature free lunch from Quiltmaker Cafe, Burger Bistro, and Virgil’s Jamaica.

The registration cost is $30 per person – register here. For more information, contact [email protected] or [email protected].
