Basics of Grant Writing: Getting Started

March 31 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

At Basics of Grant Writing: Getting Started on Tue, Mar 31, 9am-12am, you’ll learn the basics of writing a grant in a hands-on workshop covering:

  • The different components of grants.
  • Learning to set and maintain a workable grant cycle.
  • Tracking possibilities in the business community.
  • Applying good storytelling to a successful program.

Students can apply this methodology to a wide range of nonprofit fundraising efforts, from healthcare to the arts. Bring your laptop or a notebook and put on your thinking caps, because this is a quick working session and you will be writing!

This one-class session is instructed by Dolly Sickles. Registration opens Mon, Feb 16, and closes Mon, Mar 23. This event is held indoors at the new Chatham County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources (CCPRCR) Arts Center, located at 964 East Street, Suite 105, Pittsboro, NC 23712, on the backside of the building. To access the studio, drive straight through the open gate and look for the sign that reads “Arts Center.” Visual Arts participants may park in the back lot.

The fee to participate is $40 per person, and registration is required. Ages 18+ are welcome. See more CCPRCR events.
