Join Checkered Tulip for this Adult Begin to Sew Series, hosted on select days throughout 2026. This workshop provides a structured introduction to essential sewing techniques for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills. Students will learn to safely operate a sewing machine and build a solid foundation for many years of happy sewing. Projects include: a tote bag, pillowcase, zippered pouch, apron, envelope pillow, and more. Single-day, two-week, and three-week sessions are offered. Upcoming classes include:

• Sat, Jan 3 and 10, 9:30am-12pm: Two-Week Series; class projects include a pillowcase and apron. The cost is $115 per person.
• Wed, Jan 14, 21, and 28, 6pm-8:30pm: Three-Week Series; class projects include a pillowcase, market tote, and zippered pouch. The cost is $175 per person.

At Checkered Tulip, you’ll be on a machine making your project from the get-go. Their instructors are there to help you bring your vision to life and give you one-on-one access to all the tricks and hacks that make your project a breeze.
