Roam Paint Press is a mobile art studio based in the Triangle of North Carolina. Owner Jessica Cecchini has transformed a former bookmobile into a traveling workshop space that brings hands-on art classes directly to its students. The studio offers hands-on workshops in printmaking, mixed-media, and watercolor, welcoming students picking up a brush or a brayer for the first time as readily as returning makers. Workshops are built to be approachable and exploratory, inviting students to come “roam” and find their inner artist.
Students can attend a scheduled class or a pop-up. The mobile studio also offers a flexible, self-contained art experience for your next private gatherings, community events, festivals, and group bookings. Inquire to learn more.
One of the places you’ll regularly find Roam parked is The Plant, the eco-industrial park on the east side of Pittsboro, where it hosts workshops alongside the campus’s makers and eateries. Catch a class there, then explore the rest of the grounds, including the Chatham Beverage District, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail.
