The Place to Be Bar

DESCRIPTION

The Place to Be Bar opened in early 2026 in the old Red Moose Brewing Company space at 90 East Street, just off Pittsboro’s downtown circle. The space leans into the small-town-bar template without overthinking it. Vintage beer signs line the walls, with a pool table in the back for weekly tournaments and open play, plus the kind of cozy booth seating built for settling in for a couple of rounds.

The menu is straightforward: cocktails, craft beer, and comfort food, with pricing aimed at the regulars who’ll be coming back. The week takes shape through evening programming: live music with regional acoustic and blues acts, music bingo, and the ordinary pleasure of an open pool table after work. Hours run weekday afternoons into the evening, with Friday and Saturday stretching to midnight and Sunday winding down by seven.

The Place to Be sits inside Pittsboro’s National Register historic district, a few steps from the Chatham County Courthouse and the rest of downtown’s growing dining and shopping stretch. It’s a comfortable landing spot in a town that’s grown into one of the Triangle’s more distinctive downtowns.
